Today I was eating a cookie that my mom had bought from shoprite. It was one of those “fresh baked” m&m cookies that we all know and love. Eating the cookie, I noticed it tasted especially good, but I couldn’t figure out why. Then I realized, the outside bit of the cookie was just the slightest bit overcooked so that it had been a bit crunchier than the rest of the cookie. It really did have that fresh baked taste, and that is what made it special. It was just right, if the cookie had been completely burnt, it would have tasted awful but at the same time if the cookie was perfect it would have had to have been a processed piece of God knows what from some factory somewhere. People are kinda like cookies in that their imperfections is what makes them special. If a person is evil and bad, they are like the burnt cookie and nobody wants them, if a person is perfect, they aren’t real and shouldn’t be trusted. But then there are those who have perfect flaws, and it’s those imperfections that makes them unique and so likable.
